چکیده

Due to the different properties of materials, fusion welding dissimilar metals may be difficult. Structural irregularities form as a result various phase transformations during welding. Solid-state welding, opposed occurs below melting temperature. As and solidification phenomena that happen in solid-state is expected reduce potential for transformation. This paper describes use rotary friction technique join carbon steel 304 stainless steel. The purpose this work investigate characteristics (RFW) when joining steels with contents. Experiments were carried out on RFW low- medium-carbon investigation was using Taguchi method experimental design. joints’ tensile strengths microstructures evaluated. parameters had greatest influence results identified. combination resulting strength also suggested. A microstructural examination weldment revealed mechanical mixing interlocking.

Evaluation of microstructure and mechanical properties of friction stir welded copper / 316L stainless steel dissimilar metals

In the present research, friction stir welding (FSW) process was used for butt joining of pure copper plate to 316L stainless steel plate. Mechanical properties and microstructural characteristics of the joint were evaluated by microhardness and tensile tests as well as optical and scanning electron microscope (SEM). It was found that microstructure of the weld nugget (WN) has fine grains where...

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of the Friction Welded Joint between X53CrMnNiN219 and X45CrSi93 Stainless Steel

Dissimilar metals friction welding of austenitic–martensitic stainless steels is commonly used in order to manufacture engine valves in the automobile industry. In this study, X53CrMnNiN219 (austenitic stainless steel) and X45CrSi93 (martensitic stainless steel) valve steel rods were welded by friction welding process. The welded joint was then heat treated at 760 0C for 60 min. Mechanical prop...

Effect of Welding Parameters in the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Friction-Welded Joints of 100Cr6 Steel

In this study, high-carbon, chromium alloy steel (100Cr6) having the initial spheroidized microstructure was welded using the rotary friction welding method. The effects of process parameters such as friction time and friction force were experimentally investigated. The friction welded joints were produced of two 100Cr6 steel rods. In order to examine the microstructure and mechanical properti...
